Sydney Sweeney made an otherworldly entrance at the 2024 MET Gala in New York City on Monday, looking completely transformed in a dark bob.
The 26-year-old Euphoria actress, who recently flaunted her preppy style on a trip to New York City, walked the red carpet alongside other famous people including Jennifer Lopez and Zendaya at the yearly event.
She looked stunning in a Miu Miu gown made of light blue tulle that flowed down to a long skirt that touched the floor.
The bodice and upper skirt area were embroidered with blue floral embellishments with black stems, adhering to this year’s dress code, which is The Garden of Time.
Sweeney attracted attention with her darker hair falling in gentle waves and her bangs resting lightly on her forehead.
Sydney also decided to wear opera-length black leather gloves to match her color scheme.
The Hollywood diva reportedly finished the ensemble with a delicate pair of earrings and a stunning silver necklace from De Beers jewelry, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
She applied a light pink blush to her cheekbones and a coat of mascara to her lashes to complete her glamorous look for the evening.
The actress’s shoes for the evening were hidden by the long train that cascaded from the hem of her gown behind her.
Attending the festivities, Sweeney made a number of postures on the red carpet surrounded by white flowers and greenery.
The Anyone But You actress wore a silky black veil with rhinestone accents atop her head before leaving for the event at The Carlyle Hotel.
She wore the item as well when she left the New York hotel to go to the fancy event.
Every year on the first Monday in May, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts a star-studded gala that attracts a large number of celebrities for the big night.
According to Vogue, this year’s hosts of the event are Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Bad Bunny, and Zendaya.
The Garden of Time is the dress code for the new Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion exhibition being celebrated at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The actress talked to Vogue earlier this year in January about her sentiments while attending red carpet events. “On the set and the red carpet, I’m different versions of myself.”
“I feel confident, at ease, and at home on set [for a role].” I am also this other character that is saying all these things, getting evaluated, and making these decisions.
But on a red carpet, she continued, “I get nervous because everyone is like, ‘Here’s Sydney Sweeney!'”
However, Sydney Sweeney is actually a girl who likes to go outside barefoot, wear jeans and a T-shirt, and rarely wears makeup.
The stunning woman first shared details about her own style preferences and outfit selections for special occasions back in March.
