Insiders suggest that Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney, who starred in Euphoria, are being considered as possible Bond Girls, and that the next James Bond movie may be a remake with classic villains from the past.
The role of the ultrasuave British spy has reportedly been offered to Taylor-Johnson, 33. However, sources close to the franchise have recently stated that Zendaya, 27, and Sydney, 26, are among the candidates being considered for his on-screen love interest.
An insider who spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com disclosed that executive producer Barbara Broccoli of the franchise was eager to cast a young actress in the classic femme fatale role.
The insider further stated that Barbara’s first option for directing the upcoming movie—which might be a remake—was Denis Villeneuve, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker of Dune.
“They want to set the new Bond films apart from the Daniel Craig ones, which felt more “genuine.” How to handle Bond going forward has been a talking point for years,” the person said.
Barbara wants the Bond fantasy to come back, where there’s action but there are also larger-than-life villains involved.
If an earlier Bond film were to be remade, she would like to see villains like Oddjob or Jaws again.
Regarding the search for the next director of the movie, Barbara is rumoured to have focused on Villeneuve, a French Canadian who directed the blockbuster Dune Parts 1 and 2.
The source went on, “Barbara Broccoli is very eager for Denis to direct the next Bond.”
That’s her ideal situation, but he’s so busy that it would be challenging to confine him.
They will continue to ask him to oversee further installments if he doesn’t complete the next one.
Barbara wants him to apply his talent to something as legendary as Bond, given his work on Blade Runner and Dune. He is the best choice available.
