Sydney Sweeney arrived at LAX on Friday morning with her fiancé Jonathan Davino, and they put on a romantic show.
The producer was spotted putting his hand on his fiancée’s hip as he waited to catch a cab out of the transportation hub. The 26-year-old actress and her companion showed smiles as they made their way through the airport.
The Euphoria actress looked put together in a white undershirt that showed off a small amount of her midriff and a navy blue and white Celine track jacket.
Along with her Prada cap and running sneakers, Sweeney accessorized her ensemble with a pair of black sunglasses.
The actress and Davino—whom she has been engaged to since 2022—selected an almost entirely white ensemble consisting of a t-shirt, hoodie, sweatpants, and tri-tone sneakers.
The two went out together shortly after Glen Powell, the actress’s co-star in Anyone But You, acknowledged in a New York Times interview that they had leaned into romance rumors to get attention for the movie.
The 35-year-old actor stated to the magazine that “fun and chemistry” were the two key components of a marketing strategy that were required to “sell a rom-com.”
The actor from Top Gu𝚗: Maverick continued by saying that both he and Sweeney knew their film would be marketed on the romance between their characters and that they intended to play with the audience’s expectations.
“It’s so much fun to hang out with Sydney, and we have such easy chemistry.” People do that because they want what’s on the screen to go away, and sometimes you just have to slant toward it a little, he added.
The actor from Devotion continued by saying that the strategy to build excitement for the film “worked wonderfully.”
Powell continued, saying he had a terrific time working with the actress, characterizing her as’very brilliant.’
The Immaculate actress also mentioned how she intended to capitalize on the gossip about her relationship with Powell in order to pique viewers’ curiosity.
Since they are the ones who, in the end, wrote the entire story, she stated, “I wаnted to make sure that we were actively having a conversation with the audience as we were promoting this film.”
The plot of Anyone But You revolved around two young adults who don’t connect right away but later decide to pretend as a couple while traveling for a destination wedding.
The cast of the feature included actors including Dermot Mulroney, Michelle Hurd, Alexandra Shipp, and Sweeney in addition to Powell.
This past December, the movie made its premiere and received a mixed review; as of right now, Rоtten Tomatoes gives it a 55% rating.
Nevertheless, Box Office Mojo reports that the feature was well-received by audiences and made close to $220 million over its run of distribution.
