In order to promote her horror smash Immaculate before its Mexican release, Sydney Sweeney traveled south of the border.
The actress, 26, looked radiant as she walked the red carpet at Mexico City’s Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday.
Alvaro Morte, her co-star in Immaculate, attended the press conference and the film’s premiere with her. Her picture opens in Mexico on Friday.
Shortly after being spotted in Hawaii sporting bikinis, Sweeney was sighted at the Mexico City airport on Wednesday.
The gorgeous sleeveless black dress with cuts across her hips was worn by the actress and producer when she went out.
Her black leather gloves ended just below her elbows, and her short blond hair fell just below her shoulders.
For her appearance down south, the actress and producer finished off her ensemble with black pointed-toe heels.
Having tried out for a previous iteration of the project ten years prior, Sweeney is involved in the film as both an actress and producer.
As the project was being produced, Sweeney’s breakthrough performance was in Euphoria on HBO, in which she portrayed Cassie Howard.
Subsequently, she bought the screenplay rights from Andrew Lobel herself, tying the knot as producer and acting as Sister Cecilia under Michael Mohan’s direction.
The narrative centers on Sister Cecilia, a pious nun lured to the verdant Italian countryside by Sweeney.
She accepts an offer to work at an enigmatic Italian convent, but as soon as she gets there, she knows there are secrets there.
Simona Tabasco, Benedetta Porcaroli, Giorgio Colangeli, and Dora Romano are also featured in the movie.
Neon, an independent distributor, released Immaculate in mid-March, earning $5.3 million at the box office.
From an estimated $9 million budget, it currently stands at $15.6 million domestically and $22.2 million internationally.
Sweeney is coming off of a $25 million budget for her smash romantic comedy Anyone But You, which brought in $88.3 million domestically and $131 million internationally.
Additionally, the actress is in post-production on Echo Valley, starring Domhnall Gleeson and Julianne Moore.
