Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney are flaunting their rom-com chemistry.The actors visited CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Monday, where they premiered the first trailer for their new film, Anyone But You.

Powell, 34, remarked, “We love seeing ourselves on the big screen,” to which Sweeney responded, “Oh, please, Top Gun,” a reference to Powell’s role in the hit movie Top Gun: Maverick from the previous year, which starred Tom Cruise and Miles Teller.He joked, “I love when she calls me that.”Sydney Sweeney grinning while filming a romantic comedy in Australia with director Glen PowellTalking about Top Gun, the two joked, with Sweeney joking that she believed Powell to be Teller “until the fourth day of shooting.” Later on, when he stated, “You knew I am not Miles Teller,” she said jokingly, “No, I did.” However, I mistakenly believed you to be Tom Cruise.KEVIN WINTER/GETTY

“Anyway, as you could probably guess, this movie’s about two people that hate each other. Sydney plays a character [who is] a real nightmare,” he told the audience gathered at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Powell’s character, Sweeney said, is a real “a–h—.”

“And what better place to put a nightmare and an a–h— than on the other side of the world in the most romantic setting imaginable?” Powell teased of the film.

The theater lights dimmed to show the trailer, which Powell and Sweeney watched together from the side of the stage.

CinemaCon 2023 continues through Thursday with presentations from Hollywood’s major studios about their upcoming slate of movies.
