Rihanna has always known what it takes to dress for a chic winter.
The pop princess went out on Sunday wearing yet another stylish coat while spending the evening at the hip Cipriani restaurant in New York City with her beau A$AP Rocky.
Robyn is Rihanna’s real name, 33. With an oversized jacket and a Gucci purse, Rihanna Fenty exuded effortless style as she walked alongside her rapper beau, Rakim Athelaston Mayers.
The singer was obviously taking no chances as she loaded up on the designer layers for her evening out, even though she did reveal her belly in a crop top when taking off her puffy jacket. New York City is expected to see its first significant snowfall of the season this week.
After being named a national hero by her home country of Barbados last month, the celebrity has a lot to be happy about these days.
Prince Charles was present at a ceremony commemorating Barbados’s reestablishment as a republic, where Prime Minister Mia Mottley honored the hitmaker Umbrella.
“Robyn Rihanna Fenty shall have received the title of national hero of Barbados tomorrow morning,” the prime minister declared, addressing the music sensation by her given name.
The creator of Fenty Beauty was then called out from her seat to accept the award, and when the Prime Minister brought up her 2012 song Diamonds, the singer laughed.
The speaker went on, saying, “We therefore present to you, the designee, for national hero of Barbados on behalf of a grateful nation, but an even prouder people.”
Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty, you are welcome, my dear. May you always shine brightly like a diamond and honor your country on behalf of a grateful people.
Born in the St. Michael parish of Barbados, Rihanna rose to fame in 2005 after a record producer noticed her. She has since sold over 250 million albums and, most recently, became a billionaire through her Fenty beauty brand, making her one of the most successful female artists of all time.
‘Commanding the imagination of the world through the pursuit of greatness, her creativity, her discipline, and above all, her incredible commitment to the place of her birth,’ the prime minister said in her speech.
“Having met that requirement, Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty has provided service to Barbados that is typified by innovative and visionary leadership, remarkable accomplishment, and the attainment of the highest caliber for the Barbados Government.”
It follows a momentous event for Barbados, which, after over 400 years of independence, has welcomed Sandra Mason as its first president and deposed Queen Elizabeth as head of state.
