One month after the singer gave birth, the odd name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second baby has been made public.
According to The Blast, the 35-year-old Diamonds hitmaker and the 34-year-old rapper called their son Riot Rose Mayers.
The song’s name could be a reference to A$AP’s previous release, “Riot,” which featured Pharrell Williams earlier this year.
According to the birth certificate that the tabloid was able to get, Riot was born at 7:41 a.m. on August 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
The couple decided to continue their naming custom, giving their first son, who was born in May 2022, the name RZA Athelston Mayers, choosing yet another nickname that began with a ‘R’.
Thais Aliabadi, who is well-known for her collaborations with Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner during their appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, is also mentioned as Rihanna’s OB-GYN.
The doctor assisted in the delivery of Roman, the 29-year-old son of Al Pacino, 83, and his partner, Noor Alfallah.
When the couple decides to reveal pictures of their new baby is still up in the air.
In the past, Rihanna released pictures of RZA taken six months after his birth.
The couple reportedly had their second kid last month.
When Rihanna appeared with a baby bump at the Super Bowl halftime show in February, she made headlines for revealing her second pregnancy.
For their first son, the couple gave significant consideration to the name RZA.
The name of their son is an homage to the 54-year-old leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, musician and producer RZA, whose true name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs.
Additionally, it alludes to A$AP’s middle name.
People reports that the entrepreneur and her rapper partner don’t seem to be planning on having any more kids.
“Rihanna feels her family is now complete,” the source told the tabloid, adding that “it’s something she’s always wanted.”
The celebrity, who was born in Barbados, previously talked candidly about becoming a mother in a March interview with British Vogue.
